The National Garden Scheme N. Powys are delighted to announce a Special Event taking place at Vaynor Park near Berriew, on 30th April between 2-4.30PM.
These spectacular 5-acre gardens set in rolling parklands with far reaching views across the Welsh borders are attached to a beautiful and historic 17C house (not open). In Springtime there is a stunning display of over 3,000 tulips on the long Victorian archery lawn flanked by wide herbaceous borders resplendent with geums, anemones, erysiums, alliums, lunaria and hesperis, magnolias, euphorbias, trilliums, erythroniums and bluebells. Tulips in urns close by the house contrast with clipped box and yew topiary.
A limited number of tickets are available for this very special event kindly hosted by William and Kate Corbett-Winder. There will be an introductory talk in the Courtyard, followed by a guided tour accompanied by Kate and her Gardener, Rupert Redway. Home made teas in the stables will be included following the private tour.
Adults £25. Pre-booking is essential by following the link below.
