Oswestry knitting group, The Crafty Knitters have today handed over their knitted ‘999 Teddies’ to the local police.
The knitted teddies will travel with members of the police to be given to children involved in emergency situations when they need reassuring.
PCSO Stuart Carroll and PCSO Pete Roberts were presented with the teddies by Angie Mills organiser of ‘Crafty Knitters’.
Angie added, “They said they were marvellous. They often have situations where children need to be comforted, so they were really pleased with them. They also use them as teaching aids in schools.”
