With a collection of 60 incredible prizes donated by various leading companies, national charity Horatio’s Garden, which has it’s Horatio’s Garden Midlands in Oswestry, are hoping everyone will help them by buying tickets for their Spring Raffle, running online from Monday 14th March – Monday 18th April.

Featuring prizes from new supporters, including the likes of David Austin, A Place in the Garden, New York Delhi, Dahlia Beach and Bodynfoel Hall, alongside a collection of companies keen to continue helping, including Architectural Heritage, Chic Teak, Haddonstone, Hozelock and Oxford Planters, this year’s Spring Raffle is destined to make a big difference.

The event took place for the first time in the midst of lockdown last year after the charity felt inspired to do something that would not only bring a little joy to everyone as they spent time at home, but would also help to support patients, their loved ones and NHS staff affected by spinal cord injury in each beautiful, fully accessible Horatio’s Garden across the UK.

In the course of just a few weeks, supporters helped them to raise a phenomenal total of over £20,000!

This year, the charity is determined to make the event bigger and better than ever.

But they need your help.

Tickets cost just £5 each and with so many prizes to give away, everyone who enters is most certainly in with a high chance of winning one of the many sumptuous Spring Raffle prizes.

Most importantly, as well as helping you to discover a collection of thoughtful companies, the online event is the perfect opportunity to give yourself the chance to win a little treat whilst giving back to a worthwhile cause.

Each Horatio’s Garden is a lifeline for people adjusting to, or caring for someone with, a spinal cord injury. Throughout the pandemic, the charity’s horticultural havens became more vital than ever and since then the importance of the charity’s mission has come to be universally understood. Thousands, if not millions, of us came to find solace in green spaces in lockdown and thanks to the kindness of the public, Horatio’s Garden were able to keep bringing that same sense of calm to those who faced spending lockdown alone in NHS hospitals.

Six stunning gardens are now open in the South West, Scotland, Stoke Mandeville, the Midlands, London and most recently Wales. The capital appeal for the charity’s seventh project, Horatio’s Garden Northern Ireland has just been launched and an eighth garden for Sheffield is currently in the early phases of development.

“It’s a wonderful place to spend recovery,” shares former patient Ollie, adding “the garden is a lovely place to relax in and watch the wildlife pass by, as well as to sit and chat to other patients. It made my recovery a lot easier.”

Ollie’s sentiments are precisely why Horatio’s Garden need your help.

By simply buying a Spring Raffle ticket, you’ll not only be supporting people facing extraordinarily difficult times in the charity’s existing sanctuaries, you’ll also be enabling Horatio’s Garden to plant hope for even more patients, families and NHS workers throughout the country.
