Oswestry BID’s newest ‘Supporter’ member – Zoom Food – are launching a new service: Zoom 1hr Delivery: a new local marketplace for Oswestry’s independent retailers which will allow customers to buy any kind of product online and have it delivered within the hour within a 10 mile radius, all without having to leave their home.
As the high street begins to adapt to the changes Covid-19 has brought, having a convenient and easily navigable online option for consumers may help many businesses recover from the impact the pandemic has had. Not only does it cater to those who are looking for quick and convenient shopping while supporting independent businesses, it also offers safe shopping for those who do not now feel confident visiting shops.
All Oswestry BID businesses are now being offered a free trial for 2 weeks. When the free period finishes Zoom will discuss an on-going discount/commission with each business that will continue to make the service viable for both businesses.
You won’t be locked into a contract, and can join and leave as you wish. You will also have the option to just use the app as a platform for sales whilst conducting your own deliveries.
How does Zoom 1hr Delivery work for retail?
Using the latest technology, the app allows customers to browse and order products from individual businesses for delivery during your opening hours. A member of the Zoom delivery team (or you can choose to do the delivery yourself) will then collect the customers order and deliver it within an hour, or in a timeslot to best suit the customer. All products are in safe hands as goods in transit are insured up to the value of £500.
You will receive payment every Monday for your orders through Zoom.
Zoom will also supply businesses with promotional material including online graphics, window stickers and flyers as well as ongoing advertising on social media, in print, and on the airwaves.
How can Zoom 1hr Delivery benefit your business?
During the last 4 years, Zoom has successfully built up a loyal and ever-growing customer base of over 50,000 active consumers. With access to this trusted customer base to sell and deliver retail products in a huge 10-mile radius, and with 50k app downloads already, you could reach even more customers in their own homes. More importantly, your business can still reach customers who might be afraid to travel to your store, but still want to shop local.
Zoom was allowed to continue to trade. Food providers experienced a 400% increase in demand during lockdown, being on Zoom would enable your business to trade through online ordering and delivery.
