Adrenaline Sporting Events’ Alan Lewis recently paid a special visit to Whittington Primary School to personally thank pupils for their fantastic contribution to this year’s Oswestry 10K.
The young volunteers from Whittington Primary played a key role in the event by presenting medals to runners as they crossed the finish line — adding an extra touch of community spirit to one of Shropshire’s most popular running events.
Alan Lewis, Founder of Adrenaline Sporting Events, said:
“Visiting Whittington Primary School was one of our favourite moments this year. The pupils were brilliant at the Oswestry 10K — full of energy, smiles, and encouragement for every finisher. It was a real pleasure to thank them in person (and hand out a few goodies!) for their amazing support. Hearing about their own running stories and how much they enjoyed being part of the event was truly inspiring.”
The visit reinforced Adrenaline Sporting Events’ ongoing commitment to involving local schools and communities in their events, helping to promote fitness, teamwork, and community pride across the region.
Alan added:
“Whittington Primary helped make this year’s Oswestry 10K our best yet. We’re so grateful for their enthusiasm and can’t wait to see them again next year!”
