Hard-working volunteers are being sought to help an award-winning charity shop raise vital funds to support families living with incurable illnesses.
Severn Hospice is appealing for more volunteers to help out in the recently refurbished store in Oswestry.
There are a host of opportunities from general shop volunteers who help with all aspects of running the busy shop to customer service assistants who work on the tills.
The charity needs people to help out at the English Walls store during the week and at weekends.
Dawn Felton, volunteer co-ordinator for Severn Hospice, says there is likely to be a volunteer role suited for everyone – regardless of age, background, motivation or experience.
She said: “Volunteering with us is a great way to meet new people and is a very rewarding experience for everyone who takes part.
“Our shop volunteers are vital to us and give up their own time to help make a difference and give something back to the community.
“We are so grateful to our volunteers for their dedication to us and without them we simply couldn’t care for the amount of people that we do.”
The shop reopened at the end of October following a host of work to improve the shopping experience and allow for even more donations to be made.
Some of the changes made included upgrading the backroom of the shop, allowing staff and volunteers to cope with a significantly higher amount of donations.
The store is open between 9am and 5pm from Monday to Saturday.
