Rotary is the oldest and biggest “service club” in the world, founded in 1905 in Chicago, USA with just four people. Now it’s made up of more than 33,000 Rotary clubs in over 200 countries and geographical areas. The members of these autonomous clubs are called Rotarians and they form a global network of 1.2 million people from all walks of life and backgrounds, all volunteering their time, talents, skills and enthusiasm to serve their communities and indeed the world. Rotary makes a difference!
Oswestry Cambrian Rotary is in the new style of Rotary, is a very relaxed club and a dress code to match. No attendance requirement and fits in with modern family and work life.
If you are considering volunteer work then Oswestry Cambrian club is ready to welcome men and women of 18+ from the local community as Rotarians or as Friends of Rotary. We are never short of projects and are a club of Community Action in Oswestry so come and join us and get “involved”.
We meet informally at The Wynnstay Hotel, Church Street, Oswestry on Thursday evenings. No weekly meals for us, we just meet in the bar at 7.30pm to start our meeting at 8.00pm. Why not meet Mike Lade over that cup of coffee to find out more. It could be the best investment you make.
