An elaborate tree house is on display as part of an exhibition in the Willow Gallery on Willow Street.
The sculpture, which stands at just over one metre tall, was made entirely from scrap wood by Oswestry Mens Shed. Mike Wilcox from Oswestry Mens Shed comments: “The sculpture started with one or two men in the shed deciding to make some bird boxes, but my creative background as a retired art teacher prompted me to be a little more adventurous. The design of the bird house just evolved as I built it and I got one or two of the other shed members to contribute by helping me put bits together.
“It evolved more as a piece of sculpture rather than a functional bird box as I doubt that it would stand up to the weather that we get in this country.”
