Borderland Rotary Club delivered over 25 Christmas trees last Friday to households in Oswestry and across seven local villages.

The club was responding to a call from Oswestry Foodbank for help delivering the festive trees to families who are getting ready for a cheery Christmas after a tough year.

The Borderland team had to brave the cold and wet, but it was worth it, so Harry Richardson said,       “A bit of rain never did anyone any harm and the smiles on people’s faces made it all worthwhile.          It has been a really hard year for a lot of people and let’s hope this adds just a little bit of sparkle over Christmas and that 2021 is better for everyone – happy Christmas”

Borderland also made a donation to the Food Bank as well as helping Osnosh, Oswestry’s Community Kitchen and A Christmas Gift, a scheme set up to buy gifts for children who might otherwise go short this year.
