Young carers were straight up the wall the other day as Borderland Rotary had arranged an evening of fun at the Oswestry Climbing Den on Maesbury Road.
Tara, the instructor, put them through their paces and there was no lack of enthusiasm as they shinned up the walls with great gusto. Borderland Rotary members looked on with some trepidation and hoped they would not be called upon the join the youngsters on the climbing walls! It was great to see the enjoyment and exhilaration on their faces as they scaled the heights and one younger climber said, “It’s all really exciting but a little bit scary too!”
