Borderland Rotary, like everyone else has seen its fundraising events cancelled so David Kendal, the outgoing President, his wife Lyn and daughter Laura have been training and achieved their very own personal challenge.
Last week they cycled from Gobowen to Lake Vyrnwy, 36 miles including a circuit of the lake.
David said, “Lyn, Laura and I are home now after a great day, a great occasion having been welcomed into Wales on a day when the weather was perfect! We may have missed the marshalling on the Berwyn Mountain-bike challenge this May but at least we have achieved our four-month cycling goal! It was not planned as a sponsored event but thanks to all the Club members who have supported us with donations to the Borderland Charity account”.
