The Marches School and BT have joined forces to offer students in year 10 a real life job application experience.

BT are offering work experience placements in June 2020 and requested CVs and cover letters from interested students in response to an advert. Details were circulated across the year group by the school and BT received 10 applications.

All 10 students were then invited into the BT offices at Park Hall for a group interview and assessment. Debbie Hampson, Chief Technology Innovation Officer said ‘It’s important for students to understand the process of applying for roles and this has given them an introduction into job applications and interviews.’ Meg Murphy, Careers Adviser at the Marches School added ‘The original plan was to offer a place to four students, however, BT were so  impressed with the positive approach of all the students that they have extended the placement offer to all 10 of them”
