With just over a week to go bunnies are well and truly gearing up for the annual 5K charity fun run.

This year will be the events 4th year on the hop raising crucial funds for local charities. To date the Oswestry Bunny Run has risen just shy of £3,000 for The Bone Cancer Centre, Hope House, The Movement Centre and this year they turn their efforts to help Hector’s Greyhound Rescue. Many of these dogs will have been abandoned and mistreated after their racing careers and need funding to get them back on track with a loving home.

Once again there is great support for the event from local community groups such as Oswestry Cambrian Rotary Club who have helped cement this event within the yearly calendar. Also the fantastic goodie bags that are presented to the runners after the run are again supported by the local Oswestry Sainsbury’s.

Organisers James Manford and Curtis Langley cannot wait for yet another Bunny Run which as always is proving to be a hopping success.

“We are very proud of the Oswestry community and those within it. What the community groups do for this area is inspirational and so this is our way of giving back. Without the help from our supporters Sainsbury’s and Oswestry Cambrian Rotary Club we wouldn’t be able to have created such a successful and well attended event” Curtis Langley.

With preparations and training from Marathons to Couch to 5k there is no better time to come together and run, hop, walk, skip or jump your way around the Oswestry Bunny Run. Buy your tickets online by following the Facebook page.
