Organisers of the annual Oswestry Bunny Run today presented the funds raised for Hector’s Greyhound Rescue at the fun run in April.
The Oswestry Bunny Run is a 5K Fun Run that takes place each year raising much needed funds for local charities. This years charity was Hector’s Greyhound Rescue which is made up of a dedicated group of volunteers who devote their time to saving and re-homing ex-racing Greyhounds, Lurchers and other Sighthounds. The total raised was £486.52, which will go towards food and kennel services for these dogs.
The Oswestry Bunny Run has been raising funds and awareness for local charities for 4 years and its grand total so far is just shy of £3,500. Organisers James and Curtis have said “this event would not be running if it wasn’t for the fantastic support we have received from volunteers, family and friends. In particular, support from our local Sainsbury’s for providing goody-bags and Oswestry Cambrian Rotary Club for there constant support and marshalling throughout the years has been vital”
