Over the upcoming half term from Saturday 27th May to Saturday 3rd June, members of staff and 60 students from The Marches School in Years 8, 9 and 10 will be heading across the Atlantic to compete against Canadian clubs and schools in both football and rugby.

The students will be staying at one of the largest universities in Toronto in Canada and will have opportunities to explore the city and its culture. Alongside their sporting fixtures, students will visit Niagara Falls, Canada’s largest theme park – Canada Wonderland and experience a major league baseball game between the Toronto Blue Jays and Cincinnati Reds.

Mr Gareth Jones, PE Teacher at The Marches School commented, “The tour aims to develop a range of life skills to students including independence, responsibility and enhance their global awareness. Representing their school on a different continent is also a once in a life time experience which everyone involved is looking forward to.”
