Festive fun is in the air at Derwen College, in Gobowen, on 13th December, where families can enjoy tea with Santa, a home-cooked Christmas dinner and late night shopping for unique seasonal gifts and plants.
The specialist college, near Oswestry, which provides work placements for students in its commercial shopping and leisure areas, will be spreading Christmas cheer with late night opening for seasonal shoppers.
Book a table at The Orangery Restaurant to enjoy a delicious home-cooked two or three course meal from the Christmas menu from 5pm-7pm (booking recommended).
Or delight younger family members by sharing tea with Santa and Mrs Christmas at The Garden Cafe between 4pm-5.30pm. Share a Christmas platter full of festive treats including a hot drink or soft drink. All children receive a gift from Santa and a photo with him. £9 per child, adults £4.50 (booking essential).
Then there’s late night shopping in the Garden Centre until 7pm, where you can pick up your seasonal plants, home-made Christmas cakes, Christmas hampers, Christmas trees and wreaths. The shop is also the ideal place to pick up original cards and unique gift ideas, many hand-crafted and designed by students.
Mulled wine and mince pies will be available to create a truly Christmassy evening.
