Oswestry Angel’s, through organiser Shelly McGlinchey, are launching a new initiative in Oswestry to make sure all older people in the Oswestry area receive a gift this Christmas.

Shelley said: “Many elderly people within care settings have been lonely and isolated and have had limited contact with relatives. Due to the Covid Crisis these care settings will not have had the opportunity to raise funds this year to provide gifts for all so it is our hope to make sure they all get a gift and put a smile on their faces.”

“We are asking for the local community to buy gifts and drop them off at our local contact points, so far these include Morrisons Supermarket, Liar Liar Coffee House, The Highwayman and Co-op Victoria Road. If any other business would like to offer their help please get in touch via our Facebook group ‘A Christmas Wish’.”
