Community Resource is proud to announce the continuation of its valued corporate partnership with Radfield Home Care Shrewsbury and Oswestry, now entering its second year. This collaboration, which began in mid-2024, has already had a significant impact on individuals from communities across Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin.
From the outset, the partnership was rooted in a shared vision: to promote dignity, independence, and wellbeing for older adults within our communities. Over the past year, Radfield Home Care’s support has enabled Community Resource to deliver and expand initiatives that bring people together, tackle isolation, and provide essential information and resources to those who need it most.
One of the highlights of the partnership’s first year was the delivery of the See, Hear and Dementia Information Day working with Sight Loss Shropshire. This event brought together more than 70 organisations and welcomed over 300 attendees. The event offered practical advice, emotional support, and access to services for people affected by dementia, sight loss, or hearing challenges, showcasing how collaboration between sectors can create meaningful and inclusive experiences for the public.
Radfield has also supported a range of wellbeing events targeted at adults aged 60 and over. These sessions focused on everything from falls prevention and home safety to emotional wellbeing and social connection, areas of key need identified through our ongoing community outreach. The support and expertise that Radfield has brought to the table have enabled us to reach more people, with better resources, and deeper impact.
Hanna Clarke, Head of Fundraising and Communications at Community Resource, said:
“Our shared values and commitment to listening to and addressing the needs of local communities will ensure this partnership continues to make a meaningful difference. We are delighted to be continuing our journey with Radfield Home Care into a second year.”
Karen Corcoran, Operation Manager at Radfield Home Care Shrewsbury & Oswestry said of the partnership:
“ We are incredibly proud to be working alongside Community Resource for a second year. Their dedication to improving lives across Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin perfectly aligns with our values at Radfield. Together, we’ve already seen the positive impact that collaboration can make, and we’re excited to continue building on this success to support even more people in our communities.”
As we look ahead, we are excited to build on this momentum. Plans for year two include expanding joint events, delivering outreach in more rural communities, and increasing opportunities for community members and Radfield’s own team to engage through volunteering and awareness campaigns.
This partnership also serves as a shining example of how businesses can align their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) strategies with real, local community impact. Through a Corporate Strategic Partnership with Community Resource, businesses can create lasting change while fulfilling their commitment to social value. In return, they benefit from increased local visibility, meaningful staff engagement, and demonstrable contributions to the wellbeing of their communities.
Community Resource welcomes enquiries from any business interested in exploring how a charitable partnership can strengthen both their social impact and their workplace culture. Whether it’s through employee volunteering, event sponsorship, joint fundraising, or project support, we offer flexible partnership opportunities that deliver genuine value on both sides.
If your organisation is looking to embed social impact into your operations while supporting vital work with communities across Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin we would love to hear from you.
