Coronation Live, that was held in Cae Glas Park on the 6th of May, was a great success and raised £1,625.53 for Hope House and Ty Gobaith Children’s Hospices. The event was free, however donations were welcome and the people of Oswestry kindly supported this great local charity.
Oswestry Town Mayor, Councillor Olly Rose, presented the cheque to Hope House local area fundraiser Vicky Bradbeer, at Oswestry’s Guildhall on Tuesday 23rd of May.
Cllr Rose commented, “Coronation Live was an event provided by Oswestry Town Council and it was lovely to see people celebrating the historic day together with family and friends. The weather held for us and we had a great turn out. We’d like to thank everyone that helped to put the event together and the people of Oswestry who came along and enjoyed the day.”
Vicky Bradbeer added, “We’d like to thank everyone who kindly donated to Hope House and Ty Gobaith Children’s Hospices during Coronation Live. Our hospices are an absolute lifeline for local families who need our support. Without communities coming together and donating in this way, we couldn’t continue to provide much needed respite care, end of life care and bereavement support to children, their siblings, mums and dads. We need to raise £7.5 million every year as a minimum to keep our doors open and families supported and without this help, families would be alone and we can’t let that happen.”
