Oswestry’s Crafty Knitters group has once again shown their community spirit and creativity.

Following their recent contribution of 190 hand-knitted poppies and a large poppy wreath for a VJ Day memorial display at the Veterans Hub at The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital (RJAH), the group has continued their charitable efforts with another meaningful project.

This month, they are sending off 166 hand-knitted hearts to the Palliative Care Unit at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital, offering comfort and care to those going through difficult times.

These acts of kindness are just a few examples of the many initiatives the Crafty Knitters have embraced to support local causes and bring people together.

Crafty Knitters meet once a month and always welcome new members to their friendly group. If you’d like to get involved, contact Angie Mills on 01691 650147.
