Another opportunity is available for local business owners to learn more about the Oswestry Business Collective. The event will take place on Thursday 7th May at 6:30pm at The Sweeney Hotel, where attendees can hear the presentation, ask questions, and decide if this new initiative is right for them.
Nearly 20 local businesses have already signed up, but some were unable to attend the first session—so this is your chance to get involved. Arrive from 6:00pm to grab a drink at the bar and begin networking ahead of the presentation.
The Collective aims to tackle the sense of isolation often experienced by independent business owners in Oswestry. It is especially welcoming to home-based businesses, sole traders, aspiring entrepreneurs, high street retailers, and small business owners.
Membership costs less than a cup of coffee per month, with meetings held monthly (unless the group agrees otherwise) and led collaboratively by members.
Organiser Mike Lade said:
“I already have 18 businesses signed up and committed to joining. Several others couldn’t attend the first meeting, so I’m hosting a second launch event. Any independent business is welcome. Come along from 6:00pm, grab a drink, and start networking before the presentation—just as we did at the first session.”
