Emerging alt-pop artist Julius Eastwood has been invited by War Child to perform a special Live Lounge fundraiser in support of the charity’s vital work with children affected by war.

From a small village near Oswestry, Julius Eastwood will perform five original tracks alongside his band, recorded at Soundstage Studios, London. The Live Lounge performance will air on Thursday 29th January at 19:30, with all proceeds going directly to War Child.

War Child is an international charity dedicated to protecting, educating, and supporting children living through conflict. The organisation is currently working with children in Ukraine, Sudan, Gaza, and the West Bank, providing emergency aid, mental health and trauma care, safe spaces, temporary education, strengthened child protection networks, and support for rebuilding essential services — while also advocating for humanitarian access.

A public fundraising page is now live, offering supporters the opportunity to donate, share the campaign, and access exclusive rewards and merchandise:

In addition to raising funds for War Child, the campaign forms part of a wider initiative in which the top 20 fundraising artists will be submitted to a panel of music industry executives, with opportunities including major festival slots and career-changing industry support.

ARTIST BIO

Julius Eastwood is an alt-pop artist and songwriter now based in London. He grew up in a small village on the Shropshire/Powys border near Oswestry and studied at Ysgol Uwchradd Llanfyllin, where his love of poetry evolved into a passion for songwriting.

Julius has played the saxophone since the age of seven and taught himself piano at eighteen, beginning to write and produce music from his bedroom. He later moved to London to study music at university, graduating before releasing Borderlines — the track that kick-started his career.

His musical style is shaped by a lyric-first approach, allowing emotional narrative to guide melody and production. These ideas are then developed at the piano, where he writes the musical accompaniment that underpins his distinctive alt-pop sound.
