The Academy which is situated at The Holroyd Community Theatre provides performing arts training for young people aged 9 to 18. Sessions usually take place at the newly built theatre, but due to lockdown restrictions sessions have moved online, with acting, singing and dance sessions taking place via video link.
Academy manager and head coach, Michael Jenkins, said:
‘Our students are really enjoying the online sessions. I have been inundated with positive feedback.
‘The Academy students are finding the sessions insightful and inspiring. We look forward to welcoming Sasha into the Academy, albeit virtually; she is an outstanding performer and excellent coach. I am certain that our students will take a great deal from her session.’
West End performer, Sasha Parry is set to take the next online session. Sasha has a wealth of experience, treading the boards in some of London’s finest theatres. Most recently, appearing at The Savoy, understudying the lead role of Doralee Rhodes.
Speaking ahead of her online workshop, she added:
‘I am really excited to teach Face2Face students. I hear that they are a talented bunch, and keen to learn.
‘Meeting industry professionals is key to developing your skills in this ever-changing industry. I hope they take away a lot from the session.’
The West End masterclass takes place on Friday 12th June, 6pm – 7pm. To register email face2face@moretonhall.com
