A church near Ellesmere is inviting visitors to enjoy a cup of tea and homemade cake while admiring colourful floral displays in picturesque surroundings.
Members of St John the Evangelist Church, Colemere, are hosting a two-day flower festival next weekend, on Friday and Saturday, July 18 and 19.
The church will be open from 11am to 4pm on both days. Admission is free, while tea, coffee and cake will be available for £5 per person.
Church member John Shone said: “We’re fortunate to have a beautiful church in a stunning countryside setting overlooking Cole Mere. We hope people will take this opportunity to come and enjoy the floral displays, admire the views and perhaps discover the church for the first time. Everyone is assured of a very warm welcome.”
