Staff and children from Footsteps Nursery, Oswestry are celebrating after receiving confirmation that the Ofsted Re-Inspection Report has been published. The Nursery was inspected recently and has been graded a ‘Grade 2 Good’ by Ofsted for all areas. Inspectors have commented on a host of improvements that had been made in the past few months.

Nursery staff have been waiting to share this wonderful news, but have had to keep it under their hat until this week when the official report was published. The Ofsted Report quotes, ‘Under new and invigorated leadership, considerable improvements to the nursery provision have been made. Poor performance identified at the previous inspection is no longer a feature of this good and improving nursery.’ The report also highlights, ‘This attractive, welcoming and child friendly nursery is well maintained with good quality learning resources found indoors and outside.’

Bev Jackson, Student Services Manager and recent College Lead for the Nursery, says, ‘The staff have worked so hard to implement all the changes quickly and I am truly proud of what we’ve achieved in such a small amount of time. Children are, and always have been at the heart of everything we do, and this Grade 2 is great recognition of how good our staff and the nursery setting is here at Footsteps.’
