The people of Oswestry gave generously to the members of Oswestry Rotary Club as they collected donations on the streets of Oswestry recently and at the TNS Champions League match against Feronikeli this week at Park Hall.

Over £339 was raised for the three charities Friends of Parkies, RJAH Veterans Orthopaedic Service and Dementia Action Alliance by the Street Collection at the end of May and nearly £400 at The Venue to start off this year’s Tree of Light Appeal 2019 in aid of local charities.

Delighted with the collections, Club President Mark Liquorish said: “We are always grateful for donations from the public in these difficult economic times.  We give carefully to worthy causes who are in need of help to carry out their charitable works. Many thanks to the people of Oswestry for their generosity.

“Good luck to TNS in the second leg – let’s hope they can turn the tie around!”
