The new Vale of Llangollen Rotary have partnered with the Llangollen and District Young Farmers Association to organise the first Llangollen Illuminated Tractor Run which will take place on Sunday 4th December.
Mike Lade from the Rotary said: “Tractors will muster at 3.30pm in the Llangollen Pavilion and will leave after the judging at 5.00pm. The run will be started with a wave off by the Llangollen Mayor Councillor Paul Keddie and the Rotary District Governor Paul Dutton.
“The run leaves the Pavillion and up Castle Street in Llangollen, onto the A5 through Froncysylte, Chirk, St Martins, Overton, Ruabon, Trevor and back to Llangollen.
“Please visit our web site at www.valeofllangollenrotary.com and click the page for the tractor run to see the rules and how to register.
“We are limiting ourselves to 30 tractors for our first run so please don’t delay in registering to avoid disappointment.
“So please local farmers, please get behind this new attraction and charity fund raiser for the community. There will be a bucket collection by our marshals so please bring along some cash.”.
The Vale of Llangollen Rotary is ready to welcome individuals and couples of 18+ from the local community who want to be “people of action”. We normally meet face-to-face, at the Liberty Tavern, 20 Market Street, Llangollen on Monday evenings at 7.30pm and meet in the bar. Alternatively, people can join the meeting from wherever they are via our Zoom account connection.
