As the restrictions of lockdown are beginning to ease and schools across the country are reopening, Moreton Hall is extending a warm welcome to prospective pupils and their families during their forthcoming virtual Open Days.

Families from across the region and indeed around the world interested in finding out more about the school’s unique educational provision will be invited to join the Principal, specialist teaching staff and current pupils for an insight into life at Moreton Hall on Saturday 19th September and Saturday 3rd October. Parents can discuss the entrance procedures, the personalised academic programme, accommodation, scholarships and assistance with fees.

Moreton Hall, a small, inclusive school of big ideas, open minds and wide horizons in Shropshire is proud to be one of the UK’s highest achieving independent schools, educating girls from age 3 – 18 and boys from 3 – 11. Its Nursery provision caters for children from 6 months – 4 years.

It delivers an ambitious and innovative academic curriculum, coupled with outstanding pastoral care, successful sport for all, boundless creativity and extracurricular activities of an extraordinary range and quality. Moreton Hall achieves all this through the lens of an informal, holistic outlook and its core values of scholarship, gaiety and humanity that remain central to both boarding life and its learning experience.

It’s no coincidence that Moreton Hall is placed in the top 35 schools nationally for sport, which is enjoyed by all, alongside punching well above their weight in national competitions. Moretonians achieve stunning success in recent examinations with two thirds of A Level grades at A*- A, (91% A*-B) and 63% achieving 9 -7 in recent GCSEs.

Principal George Budd commented: “Our virtual Open Days were a roaring success in the summer and very popular with prospective pupils and their parents. Due to demand, we have put in two dates to allow everyone the opportunity to enjoy a truly personal experience.”
