Siop Cwlwm are pleased to be hosting the launch event for ‘View From The Summit’, an English-language poetry anthology by Tom Davies, a Welshman who lives in Oswestry.
The poems reflect a wide variety of topics including Oswestry and the surrounding area, and mental health issues.
Tom was born in Welshpool, brought up during early childhood in the Powys village of Foel. Since the age of seven, Oswestry has been his home. Welsh-speaking and a passionate Welshman, Tom’s interests focus on social events and chapel attendance amongst the strong Welsh-speaking community in Oswestry. Poetry has been a source of pleasure during his life, both writing poems and studying the English poetic canon. Many of his poems have been published in literary magazines. This present collection is the realisation of a long held dream.
The launch event will be held at Siop Cwlwm on the Balcony Level in Oswestry Town Market, at 1pm on Saturday 27th July 2019.
