Main sponsors of this year’s Nightingale House Hospice Alyn Waters 5k and 10k Run are backing a final countdown and call to action for participants to sign up to the event, due to take place on 18th April 2026.

GHP Legal has once again sponsored the medals that will be awarded to every participant and Euros Jones, a partner with the firm, says the medal’s design will make a stunning addition to ‘Run’ medal collections.

Known for its support of local charitable sporting events GHP Legal has entered its own team of 25, which is almost 25% of its staff. Participants range from seasoned 10k athletes to those just looking forward to a leisurely 5k walk.

“Nightingale House Hospice is a cause that means a great deal to us as a firm,” says Euros, “and we are proud to support it once again. This year we are hoping both attendance and the total amount raised will be even greater than the £12,684 raised in funds last year.

“It is always a fantastic day and a brilliant atmosphere. So, whether you’re aiming for a personal best or simply taking part for fun, we’d encourage anyone thinking about it to sign up and join us whilst there is still time. Participants are encouraged to raise a minimum of £30 in sponsorship and all funds will go directly towards patient care at Nightingale House Hospice.”

The run starts from the Llay side of Alyn Waters and features a 5k and 10k route. Minimum age requirements are 11+ for the 5k and 15+ for the 10k. A children’s dash will also be available to register for on the day. Participants can expect a scenic multi-terrain route, a fully marshalled course and chip-times results.
