Leading North Wales and Shropshire law firm GHP Legal says despite the current inclement weather it is hoping for a sunny outcome to the unique metal sunflower display it has helped to sponsor at Chirk Castle, in aid of Nightingale House hospice
GHP Legal, a long-time supporter of Nightingale House, raises money in a variety of ways every year to help the hospice which requires more than £3 million per annum in running costs to fund support for local people needing specialist care, and their families.
Last month Nightingale House launched a new summer campaign, selling sunflowers specially designed and made for them by the British Ironworks Centre in Oswestry.
One thousand of the sunflowers will be displayed on the Stable Bank at Chirk Castle from 15th June to 14th July, after which time they will be sent to people who purchased them during those four weeks to celebrate the life of a loved one.
Nicola Thomas, Group Practice Manager of GHP Legal which has offices in Wrexham, Oswestry, Llangollen and Chirk, said: “GHP Legal is delighted to once more be supporting Nightingale House, this time as a main sponsor for the manufacture of the metal sunflowers that will be displayed in the ‘Sunshine Meadow’ at Chirk Castle.
“It is an enchanting idea to create the display in such a special place where both patients and their families can visit and quietly reflect in whatever way they wish. What better way to celebrate the life of a loved one than to buy one of these unique pieces of art from the installation and support such a worthy cause? Several members of our staff are planning to buy a sunflower and we would urge others to do the same to ensure a sunny outcome to the fundraising campaign
