Chris Woods of Lights Out Entertainments is pleased to announce a series of upcoming live music events, alongside early plans for the return of the Wilfred Owen Festival in 2027.
Music lovers are invited to a special performance on Sunday 26th April at The Hermon Chapel, Chapel Street, Oswestry, where internationally acclaimed guitarist Claude Bourbon will take the stage.
Claude Bourbon, a French-born musician classically trained in Switzerland, is celebrated for his extraordinary fusion of musical styles. Blending elements of classical, blues, jazz, folk, and world music, his performances take audiences on a journey from the Mississippi Delta to Eastern Europe and beyond. Known for his remarkable finger-picking technique and dynamic compositions, Bourbon delivers a truly unique live experience.

Following this, audiences can look forward to another standout performance on Sunday 31st May at Oswestry Cricket Club, featuring Joe Topping.
Described by Tom Jones as “a Weaver of Dreams,” Joe Topping is a Liverpool-based folk singer and multi-instrumentalist renowned for his emotive performances and storytelling. With appearances on BBC Radio 2, ITV, and The National Film Awards, as well as collaborations with leading figures in British folk music, Topping continues to captivate audiences across the UK, Europe, and the United States.

Looking ahead, plans are underway for the return of the Wilfred Owen Festival, scheduled for 12th–21st March 2027, supported by Oswestry Town Council. The festival will once again showcase a diverse programme including folk music, classical performances, drama, and poetry.
One confirmed highlight is a performance by acclaimed folk duo Kathryn Roberts and Sean Lakeman, set to take place on Sunday 14th March 2027. Further details regarding venues and ticket availability will be announced in due course.
