Described by Tom Jones as “a Weaver of Dreams”, Joe Topping is a folk singer and multi-instrumentalist from Liverpool whose powerful singing and masterful guitar playing regularly move audiences to tears.

Known for his charismatic stage presence and engaging storytelling, Joe has entertained audiences across the UK and Europe, appearing in live sessions on BBC Radio 2, ITV, at the National Film Awards, and showcasing at South by Southwest in Texas.

During the Covid pandemic, Joe entered The Voice UK after being encouraged to take part while the music industry was at a standstill. What began as a fun challenge quickly turned into a remarkable journey, with Joe reaching the semi-finals. His audition alone has since attracted nearly one million views on YouTube.

Raised on Irish and American folk songs, Joe grew up immersed in music through the folk club his father ran for many years. Travelling musicians regularly passed through the family home, helping shape Joe’s love of storytelling through song.

Inspired by the writings of John Steinbeck, Jack Kerouac and W. H. Davies, Joe developed a passion for the open road and for folk music that connects deeply with human experience — songs that can make you laugh, cry, and reflect on the lives of others.

Today, Joe channels these influences into his own songwriting, creating music that resonates on a deeply personal level while fostering a sense of community among audiences. Guided by values of kindness, love and social awareness, his music strives to make a positive difference in the world.
