Christmas is about more than just gifts, it’s about bringing joy, warmth, and hope to those who need it most. This year, Shropshire-based charity, Little Stars is thrilled to launch the “Santa’s Little Stars” Campaign from October 28th to December 1st in partnership with The Darwin. This initiative aims to provide Christmas gifts to children across Shropshire who might otherwise go without a Christmas gift this year.
Since the campaign’s inception, Santa’s Little Stars has grown from a small community effort into a vital campaign for families across Shropshire. Over the past four years, this heartwarming initiative has provided Christmas gifts to 950 children in need. With rising costs of living affecting more families, 2024 is expected to be their biggest campaign yet, as they work to bring festive cheer to even more children. Following feedback from their referral partners, Little Stars has expanded the campaign to support even more children this year by widening the age range to include those aged 0 to 17.
“Our goal is simple: we want every child to experience the joy of unwrapping a present on Christmas Day,” says Leanne, Founder and CEO of Little Stars. “Each gift represents a message of hope and care, and with the help of our community, we can help many more children unwrap joy this Christmas.”
The campaign is made possible through a strong collaboration with The Darwin, which plays a pivotal role in collecting donations and supporting the effort.
Kevin Lockwood, Centre Manager of The Darwin, said, “The Santa’s Little Stars campaign is a truly special initiative, and we are incredibly proud to support it once again. The generous contributions from the community have a huge impact locally, and we encourage everyone to give as much support as they can.”
