An Oswestry beautician has joined forces with a local media production company by announcing a brand-new partnership. This collaboration will allow her to fulfil a career-long ambition of getting some hands-on experience in the TV and film industry, right here on her own doorstep.

Chelsea Lydia Ford has been working in the beauty industry for a decade and co-owns the successful local beauty salon, Beauty Base but has always harboured dreams of becoming a TV make-up artist and now, after teaming up with Rocking Horse Media, she will be able to do just that.

I’ve always had a huge interest in soap operas and TV dramas, not just as a viewer, but from a professional level, with a dream of mine being to work on a TV set doing make up”, explains the local mother of one.

Rocking Horse Media have recently wrapped on an all-star cast TV Pilot and just cast a major soap star in their next production, which is what inspired Chelsea to reach out. “So, when I saw how far Rocking Horse Media had come, I saw an opportunity to get involved,” reveals Chelsea, “I am SO incredibly excited to start working behind the scenes on set with some amazing crew members and some very talented actors/actresses. Proud to be part of the Rocking Horse Family!”

This exciting new partnership will see Rocking Horse Media, a proud local business, able to give industry opportunities to a fellow Oswestry business on their upcoming high-profile productions.
