Students at a specialist college, near Oswestry, are celebrating fabulous fathers on Sunday, 17th June by serving up a dedicated Father’s Day menu.

Hospitality and Catering students are offering the opportunity to spoil the special man in your life on Father’s Day at Derwen College, in Gobowen. The saying goes that the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach, so a visit to the college’s Orangery Restaurant or Garden Café won’t disappoint.

On 17th June, treat Dad to a Gentleman’s Afternoon Tea in the Garden Café from 12pm-3pm for £7.95 per person. Or opt for a three-course dinner in the historic Orangery Restaurant, priced £11.95 per adult and £8.95 per child. Every Dad will receive a complimentary gift of a Derwen College mini home-made jam.

Derwen College Food, Drink & Events Manager Nina Price said she was pleased to be celebrating Father’s Day in both the Orangery Restaurant and Garden Café.

She said: “Our afternoon teas are always popular, so we’re delighted to be able to create a special Gentleman’s Afternoon Tea aimed at dads and grandads.

“We’re also offering the option of a three-course dinner complete with home-made soup and bread, Sunday roast, and a choice of desserts. We are anticipating a busy day so booking in advance is essential.”

The college also sells a range of gardening accessories and gifts which make ideal presents for the man in your life.

Derwen College is a national residential and day college for young adults with learning difficulties and disabilities. The college’s shopping and leisure outlets support the students’ training and work experience.
