The Marches School are celebrating today after their students achieved an incredibly strong set of results.

A spokesperson for the school said, “We have worked as a team over three years of disruption and this is both a great outcome and chance for celebration. Testament to the year group, our hard working dedicated staff and the support from parents.

“We are so proud of everything they have achieved and delighted to be represented by such incredible young adults – the youth of Oswestry.

“Thank also to our parents, carers and families and the community for their role in supporting our young people.

“We are excited to be welcoming many students back into our Sixth Form for both A level and BTEC courses and are looking forward to what the next two years will bring. We wish the very best to our students entering the world of work and apprenticeships and to those starting courses at local colleges.”

Headteacher of The Marches School, Alison Pearson added, “Our Year 11 students really are a credit to our school and the community. They have worked exceptionally hard alongside the dedicated staff at our school, and today reap the benefit of their determination to succeed. We are pleased to have supported these students over their 5 year journey at the school and look forward to working with many of them as they join our Sixth Form.”
