Despite national reports of turbulence surrounding A Levels and University places, Moreton Hall is delighted to report a vintage year of A Level Results confirming its reputation as one of the country’s leading independent schools.
53% of grades were awarded A* or A with a third of candidates achieving straight A* or A grades in all their subjects.
Particular mention should be made of Phoebe Jackson from Herefordshire, who will be taking up her place at Cambridge to read Engineering with an impressive haul of 3A*s and 1 A.
Principal Jonathan Forster was delighted with the results ‘These results underline the strength and depth of the academic provision at Moreton. Eight departments achieved 100% A* and A – a remarkable achievement for a school that does not set a high bar for admission to our A Level Courses’.
‘Moreton prides itself on the all-round education we offer and this is exemplified by individuals such as Florence Wade-Smith who captained the school’s Lacrosse team to victory at the National Finals and today has achieved 2A*s and 2As in her A Level subjects. A remarkable end to her school career.’
