Moreton Hall School is inviting young lacrosse players to take part in its new Lacrosse Prospect Day this June, offering a free day of high-quality coaching, development and matchday experience at one of the country’s strongest school lacrosse programmes.
Running from 10am to 3pm on Sunday, 21st June, the event is open to girls in Years 5 to 11, including both current Moreton Hall pupils and those from other schools. Players of all abilities are welcome, with sessions tailored to suit both beginners and more advanced players.
The one-day camp will give attendees the chance to showcase their skills, build confidence and develop their game through bespoke coaching workshops led by Moreton Hall Lacrosse coaches and guest coaches, including international coach Carina Bates and current Wales and GB attacker Ellie Jones, a Moreton Hall alumna.
The day will also include lunch, a Q&A session, and an S&C gym session for older players, as well as opportunities to learn more about both the 6s and 10s formats of the game.
Parents will be able to enjoy a free tour of Moreton Hall either at the start of the day or at collection, making it an ideal opportunity to experience both the school and the lacrosse programme. After the coaching sessions, families are also invited to stay and watch the current Moreton Hall 1st team take on an Old Moretonian side at 3.30pm, with refreshments provided.
The event will also offer players and families a chance to learn more about lacrosse’s strength at Moreton Hall. The school was crowned National Schools Champions in 2024, with further honours including North Schools Champions and Welsh Rally Champions. Moreton’s current 1st team includes eight international players, while the school’s Head of Lacrosse is also Head Coach of the Welsh National Programme.
Scholarship scouting will be in place during the day, but attendance is open to all, whether or not families are considering Moreton Hall for the future.
