A major national entertainment charity has chosen to hold its official launch at a popular Oswestry venue.
Born during lockdown, the ENSA Memorial Appeal which has its offices on the out skirts of Shrewsbury will be officially launched with a star studded Gala Dinner at the Lion Quays Hotel on Friday 22nd October 2021.
The appeal is to raise funds to commission a memorial at the National Memorial Arboretum near Lichfield to honour those men and women of the show-business industry who did so much to boost morale during World War 2 both at home and on the front line as part of ENSA, Stars in Battledress, RAF Gang Shows and similar organisations.
