Oswestry Cambrian Rotary are pleased to be able to help and support the under 12’s girls team representing Oswestry Boys and Girls Football Club prior to their recent match against Newport.

They are wearing their new kit that was funded by Oswestry Cambrian Rotary Club. Club President Anna Pugh, pictured on the left, remarked that one of the priorities that she had identified for her year as president was support for young people. After the match, which the Oswestry team narrowly lost, she said, “It was a joy to watch both teams give 100 per cent effort, showing great enthusiasm and a good deal of skill whilst demonstrating excellent team spirit and sporting behaviour. They were a credit to their parents, their coaches and themselves”.

Youth has long been an area of Service for all clubs around the world with many programmes, travel opportunities and youth competitions for young people to get involved with.

The Oswestry Cambrian Rotary is ready to welcome all genders and couples of 18+ from the local community who want to be “people of action”.  They normally meet face-to-face at The Wynnstay Hotel, Church Street, Oswestry on Thursday evenings at 7.30pm and meet in the bar. Alternatively, you can join our meeting from anywhere via our Zoom account connection.
