Oswestry Boys & Girls Club have today announced a new sponsorship deal with Dennis Edwards Homes.

The deal, which includes sponsorship of the under-13 boys kit and pitch-side advertising is a boost for the club and contributes to the financial security of the popular team.

This is the first sports sponsorship deal to be entered into by local developers Dennis Edwards Homes, who are currently building a site of 25 houses in West Felton near Oswestry.

The junior team played an exciting home game against Ellesmere on Sunday, drawing 2-2 after coming back from being 2-0 down.

Team coach Kylie Griffiths said: “It was such an exciting game to watch. A last-minute corner was headed into the goal to equalise before the final whistle blew. The boys looked fantastic in their new kits.”

Announcing the agreement, director at Dennis Edwards Homes, Charlotte Edwards, said: “We’re delighted to be involved with Oswestry Boys & Girls Club. It’s a fantastic opportunity for us to work together with the club and support grass roots football.”

Kylie Griffiths, coach at Oswestry Boys Club added: “I think we’ll work really well together. They are a superb company who hold very similar values to us as a business by taking great pride in what they do as well as being professional and good fun.”
