Nightingale House Hospice is proud to announce the launch of its brand-new website, marking an important step forward in improving digital accessibility, communication and support for local patients, families, healthcare professionals and supporters.

Developed to be accessible, simple to navigate and user-friendly, the new website makes it easier for patients, carers, loved ones and healthcare professionals to access information, support and hospice services. A key feature of the site is the introduction of a much simpler self-referral process, alongside improved online referral pathways for healthcare professionals, helping people access support more quickly and efficiently across the region.

Visitors can also explore the wide range of services available at Nightingale House Hospice, including inpatient care, wellbeing services, family support, complementary therapies and outpatient support. In addition, the website provides information on how people can support the hospice through fundraising, events, volunteering, gifts in wills and donations.

The launch forms part of the hospice’s ongoing commitment to improving accessibility and reaching more people across its catchment area, including those living in rural communities.

Lauren Emberton, Chief Executive Officer at Nightingale House Hospice, said:

“We are incredibly proud to launch our new website, which represents a significant step forward in improving how people access information, support and services at Nightingale House Hospice.

“We know that reaching out to a hospice can sometimes feel daunting, so it was really important to us that the website feels welcoming, easy to navigate and accessible for everyone. The new self-referral process will help people access support more quickly, while healthcare professionals can now make referrals in a much more streamlined and efficient way.”

The hospice has worked closely with Hunter Bevan throughout the development of the website, ensuring it not only reflects the organisation visually, but also meets the needs of patients, families, healthcare professionals and supporters. Their ongoing support and expertise have played an important role in helping bring the project to life.

Further developments are already planned for the website, including additional patient and family resources, self-help information, educational content and videos designed to support people living with life-limiting illnesses, as well as their loved ones and carers.
