North Shropshire College (NSC) recently held its third family fun day at the Oswestry Campus in conjunction with Shropshire FA’s Under 8’s and Under 10’s football tournaments. The money raised on the day was given to two local charities; Hope House and Severn Hospice. The day was a great success, with a wide variety of different attractions including a tombola, fresh food cooked in our scholars restaurant, live music from musician Mark Jones and even a star appearance from the Paralympian Nick Beighton.

Lucy Evans, Marketing and Customer Service Manager at NSC comments ‘We would like to thank everyone who came to the Family Fun day and helped the College to raise the money for two great causes. We are also delighted to announce that £740 was raised in total split equally between Hope house and Severn Hospice.’

Lynsey Kilvert, Area Fundraiser for Hope House and Mike Perry, Community Fundraising Advisor for Severn Hospice were joined by the NSC Family Fun Day Event Organisers, Vicky Brayne, Chloe Edwards, Bekki Fardoe and Lucy Evans to present both charities with their cheques.

There is still time to apply to study at NSC for September 2017. For information about full, part-time, and leisure courses at NSC, visit the website at www.nsc.ac.uk or call 01691 688000.
