The Oswestry and District Ladies Darts League presentations took place this week at Whittington Cricket Club, for the 2023/24 season.
The season was the most competitive for a very long time, with the Market, Ellesmere, and the Butchers Arms, Oswestry, vying for the top spot. The winners of the league, not being decided until the very last match, with the Butcher’s Arms coming out in top spot.
The winners of the individual cups and Rose Bowls going to different teams for the first time.

The new season starts in September and new teams are always welcome to join the league.
So ladies, would you consider a game of darts? What about joining a ladies league? It sounds fun and it is fun. Oswestry and District ladies darts league are calling out for some more players to join them.
Joyce Barrow who plays in the league said, “It’s a great sport and brings us ladies together to socialise and have fun. We want to try and encourage new players into the game and everyone is welcome, no matter your age.
“The new season starts in September and we would like to encourage public houses, that don’t have a team, to try and establish one. The ladies darts league would help to establish teams if needed and could help to coach new players.”
