The Learn Massage UK Holistic Massage Diploma starts its third year this September in Whitchurch town centre. It’s unique in the area in that it provides budding massage therapists with the skills to work with both chronic muscle aches and long-term health conditions, and offer deep relaxation to soothe the nervous system and aid mental wellbeing.
Course tutor Jenny Hampton has been a practising holistic massage therapist for 15 years and she set up the school in 2022.
She says: “I can’t wait to begin another year! It’s so inspiring to see the students’ fascination with learning about the body and holistic health and how that transforms into professional practise over the course of a year. Helping them to offer deep presence and relaxation first to themselves and then another is what I love about teaching this course. It’s a transformative journey.”
The Level 4 Diploma is the equivalent of the first year of a degree programme. Students receive tuition in both the practical and theoretical aspects of massage, including Level 4 in Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology.
