All herald the advent calendar sounds of ‘Counting Down To Christmas’, the debut single from Oswestry band Slow Owls.
Counting Down To Christmas is an uplifting, bittersweet and evocative new Christmas single that makes you long for your December celebrations of childhood, while also celebrating the here and now and the excitement of Christmases yet to come.
Slow Owls is Shropshire duo Alfie Edwards and Jim Williams.
Alfie Edwards is otherwise known for his work as songwriter and frontman with Oswestry’s award-winning band The Bartells.
Jim Williams, producer and multi instrumentalist, is known as the songwriter and frontman behind fellow Oswestry band Additional Moog.
Jim said “Slow Owls came to fruition after I produced one of the tracks on The Bartells album.
Alfie asked me to join him in a new project and the first song developed after an afternoon around the piano – it was obviously destined to be a Christmas single.”
Alfie added “We’ve had fantastic support from the local community already, with fans following our socials. Last week Counting Down To Christmas debuted at Oswestry Christmas Lights Switch On, which was great.”
