Following on from the success of the regular fortnightly Thursday afternoon meetings it has become clear that there is a group of people that need support that can’t make a Thursday afternoon or are at work during the day. Therefore, Cancer Buddies founder Linda Lade is looking to start an evening session as well! The initial meeting is at 6.30pm on Wednesday 8th April at The Highwayman, Shrewsbury Road, Oswestry SY11 2RT.
The Oswestry Cancer Buddies is for those on their own cancer journey. They may be newly diagnosed, going through treatment or in remission. This peer group is for men and women, for any type of cancer and we particularly welcome partners and carers who also need support.
Cancer Buddies meet every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month in the Meeting Room of Oswestry Library, Arthur Street, Oswestry 2.30 to 3.30pm. Linda greets everyone with a smile and a drink is available for purchase from the bar.
