Following on from the first successful Cancer Buddies well attended meeting of the new group, organiser Linda Lade is pressing ahead with the next meetings.
If you are in the Oswestry area and have been touched by cancer then this new group is for you.
There is no other ‘local’ cancer support group this side of Telford so local Oswestry resident Linda Lade started one to try and help others. Linda herself is in remission from breast cancer and knows how important support is from others, beyond family, who are on their own cancer journey. You may be newly diagnosed, going through treatment, or in remission and it can be good to talk to others.
Linda said, ‘We are pleased we have the use of the Meeting Room in the Oswestry Library in Arthur Street and we have our next meeting arranged for 2.30pm on Thursday 10th April. We have all sorts of helpful information as well as a growing list of useful contacts where information can be found. If you would like to join us, we will be pleased to see you but if you would like to chat over a coffee before then – just email or call me.”
