Many singers and would-be singers are returning to singing, rehearsing and performing after a quiet 18 months but there are many whose voices have been silenced for far too long. How would you like to raise your voices and sing on Saturday 25th September?
Oswestry’s Cantiones Choir invites people from all voice parts to join them for an afternoon to learn some of the glorious well-known and much-loved choruses from Handel’s Messiah, culminating in a very relaxed performance to friends and family at the end of the rehearsal.
The event is from 1:30pm-5:00pm on Saturday 25th September and will take place in Holy Trinity Church in Oswestry. The afternoon’s activities will be led by Cantiones’ Musical Director, Martin Bussey and there will be home-made cakes and tea available during the rehearsal.
Information and booking details are available on the choir’s website www.Cantiones.org.uk or by emailing Val Baty on valbaty@aol.com.
Cantiones welcomes all voice parts on 25th September but, in particular, has spaces within the permanent choir for Tenors and Sopranos. If any Tenors or Sopranos are looking for a choir to sing with regularly why not come along to the event on 25th September to see what the choir is like and then apply to join.
Cantiones looks forward to welcoming new faces and new voices!
